About Sniplinks
A free, privacy-respecting URL shortener that creates tiny short links — no signup, no ads, no creepy tracking.
Why we built Sniplinks
Most URL shorteners want something from you: an account, your email, a credit card for "premium" features, or your visitors' attention via ad-laden redirects. Sniplinks is the opposite — a clean, free tool that does one thing well: turn long URLs into tiny short links you can share anywhere.
How it works
When you shorten a URL, Sniplinks generates a random 6-character code (like uvtaG) and stores the mapping between the code and your destination. When someone visits the short link, we look up the code and redirect them instantly. That's it — no interstitial pages, no ads, no popups.
Our privacy stance
Sniplinks stores only what's needed to make redirects work: the short code, the destination URL, and an anonymous click counter. We don't tie links to user accounts (because there are no accounts), we don't log IP addresses or user agents alongside clicks, we don't set cookies, and we don't load third-party analytics or advertising scripts. Your audience stays anonymous.

What we don't offer
We deliberately keep Sniplinks simple. There are no per-user analytics dashboards, no custom branded domains, no team workspaces, and no detailed click reports. If you need those, plenty of paid products will gladly sell them to you. If you just want a clean, fast, free URL shortener that does its job and gets out of your way, Sniplinks is built for you.
